How to clean a beanie baby?
Q. I have a beanie baby monkey that has been very well loved. His beige paws and feet, and fluffy white "beard" have become somewhat gray and dingy. Usually I brush dust off him with a lint brush, but I really think it's time for a deeper cleaning. What is the safest way to effectively clean a beanie baby toy (or similar stuffed animal)?

I did have a beanie baby when I was younger and tossed him in the washer and he came out kinda scruffy looking. But the one I have now has different kind of fur so Im wondering if it will have the same effect...*confused*

A. Beanie Babies should never be placed in the washer, but you can still keep them looking new. Step1 In your spray bottle, mix 1 tablespoon of dishwashing liquid with 8 ounces of water. Step2 Spray the entire surface of your beanie baby lightly. Do not saturate your toy! Step3 Wipe the beanie baby with a damp cloth. If there are areas that are still soiled, lightly spray those areas and allow to sit for five minutes before rubbing with a damp cloth. Step4 After the toy is clean, blot throughly with a dry cloth. Try to get as much moisture out of the beaning baby as possible. Step5 Allow the beanie baby to completely dry, then brush the toy to restore the nap of the fur.

A. Are there any pictures of her and her beanie? If there is, it will help. Wash the beanie about 5 times, and then draw little splotches on it with a marker. Make sure it is not crayola, because those wash off too easily. Get a sharpie or something and draw splotches on it, then put it in the wash again. The splotches will fade out, making it look more natural. If you rub it against a carpet for about 2 minutes, it should wear out. Hope that helps!

A. You can go onto smart colledting . com, but the two beanies that you mention, well sorry to say that they are two different beanies. Now if both tags are on the same cat beanie then it will be a a mistake. I heard of a mistake that the company did on the royal blue elephant one was darker than the other but on the cats no. So check up on that site i gave you it might give you the price values for the different cats but i don't think that it will give information about one cat having 2 tush tags or heart tags.
