A Beanie Baby is a stuffed animal, and made by Ty Warner Inc., which was later renamed as Ty Inc. Each toy has an inner "posable lining" and is stuffed with plastic pellets (or "beans") rather than stuffing (see PVC and PE), giving Beanie Babies a flexible feel. The original nine Beanie Babies launched in 1993 were Legs the Frog, Squealer the Pig, Spot the Dog, Flash the Dolphin, Splash the Whale, Chocolate the Moose, Patti the Platypus, Brownie the Bear (later renamed "Cubbie") and Punchers the Lobster (later renamed "Pinchers").. The line became a phenomenon in the late 90s when Beanie Babies became both a fad and a collectible. Ty decided to stop making Beanies in 1999; however, consumer demand made Ty Warner change his mind. He continues to run Ty Inc. and design new Beanie Babies to this day. Teenie Beanies, an offshoot of the Beanie Babies line, were made by additional manufacturers for a few McDonalds Happy Meal promotions. When will they be worth the most? Is it worth waiting to sell them or should I just clear them out now by the lot or individually? Thanks in advance. They were probably worth more that day in 199x when McDonald's was giving the mini ones away in their Happy Meals and everyone was lined up to get the next one out. We drove all over town to get all the different ones, following tons of other people. Those and the normal size ones are being sold at garage sales for a dollar or less now. Not very many people are collecting them any more. If you want to get rid of them, bag them up in lots of about 5 in each set and sell them on e-Bay. I am looking for some info about the value of beanie babies. I know that it's not going to mean much when I try to get rid of them. I had them listed on ebay once...I have over 500 and listed them all, some are hard to find and authenticated...the auction didn't even hit $300.00. The reason I am trying to find out is because we had an incident here where a neighbor kid took a whole bunch of them out of my garage (I had them stored in tubs out there because we just moved here) and some of them got ruined, as in wet and a mouse got to a couple of them. Q. I have six Beanie Babies that I would like to sell, but I'm not sure how much to sell them for. The names are: Eggs II (2001), Garcia style 4051 (1995), Bessie style 4009 (1995), Hope (1998), Tabasco style 4002 (1995), and the Princess Diana beanie baby. The first five have the tags on them, but the Princess Diana bear's tag is not attached anymore. Could some one please tell me how much they think these are worth?
